Who we are
Studio Works is an established gallery and picture framing studio in central Christchurch.
In a previous life our lovely old building was home to a gallery known as Several Arts.
It was one of the early galleries in Christchurch to exhibit
and encourage contemporary artists, and is fondly remembered by the older generation.
Our philosophy
The importance of Art
The role of the artist in society is to inspire, to challenge,
to invigorate an idea or to reveal a truth. People who are
free to express, create and enjoy artistic sensibility are
people in control of their destiny.

At Studio Works Gallery we aim to provide a showcase for
both established and emergent artists. We seek to give each
work significance by providing space and uncluttered surroundings
so the integrity of each item remains intact. We hope that
visitors to the gallery will be inspired by the quality of
individual works and be challenged to look at their world
with a fresh vision.
